Description:
In order to be competitive for much of the available federal grants like the Investing in Innovation (i3) Fund, school districts must show examples of implementation and investment in innovative practices that have raised student achievement and teacher effectiveness. Innovative schools can receive grants from a pool of $650 million, which will be allocated by September 30, 2010.
